The Project Involved the Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning (SITC) of a 220KV Overhead Transmission Line for Evacuation of Power from a 200 MW Project under GUVNL at Faredi Village. The Key Challenges included Execution in Compliance with GUVNL Technical Specifications, Managing Right of Way (ROW) in a Populated Area, Ensuring Structural and Electrical Safety at Extra-High Voltage Levels, and Coordinating Line Charging with the State Transmission Utility. Maintaining Construction Quality, Safety Standards, and Adherence to Tight Timelines were Critical Due to the Project’s Grid Integration Requirements.

A Comprehensive EPC Approach was Adopted, Covering Detailed Route Survey, Tower Spotting, and Foundation Design based on Site-Specific Soil Conditions. The Scope Included Supply of Approved Towers and Line Materials, Execution of Foundation Works, Tower Erection, Conductor Stringing, Sagging, and Clipping using Controlled Tension Stringing Methods. All Activities were carried out as per GUVNL, CEA, IS, and IEC Standards, with Strict Implementation of Quality Assurance and Safety Management Systems. Pre-Commissioning Works included Tower Footing Resistance Measurement, Conductor Continuity Checks, Insulator Inspection, and Final Charging in Close Coordination with GUVNL Authorities.

The 220KV Transmission Line was Successfully Commissioned within the Approved Schedule, Enabling Reliable Evacuation of 200 MW Power to the GUVNL Grid. The Project Achieved High System Reliability, Minimal Transmission Losses, and Full Regulatory Compliance. Robust Execution Quality and Adherence to Technical Standards Ensured Long-Term Operational Stability and Seamless Integration with the State Transmission Network.
