The Project Involved the Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning (SITC) of a 220KV Overhead Transmission Line for Evacuation of Power from the 368.5 MW ABREL project. Key challenges Included Execution Across Long Transmission Corridors, Management of Right-of-Way (ROW) Constraints, and Ensuring Compliance with Extra-High Voltage Safety, Quality, and Statutory Requirements. Maintaining Construction Quality, Coordinating Multiple Work Fronts, and Achieving Timely Grid Connectivity were Critical to the Project’s Success.

A Comprehensive EPC Execution Strategy was Adopted, Encompassing Detailed Route Survey, Foundation Works, Structure Erection, and Conductor Stringing using Controlled Methodologies Suitable for 220KV Systems. All Activities were carried out in Accordance with Approved Drawings, Utility Specifications, and Applicable Regulatory Standards. Extensive Testing and Pre-Commissioning Activities were Conducted, Including Mechanical and Electrical Checks, to Ensure Readiness for Energization. Close Coordination with Utility and Grid Authorities Enabled Smooth Integration with the Existing Transmission Network.

The 220KV Transmission Line was Successfully Commissioned, Enabling Reliable Evacuation of 368.5 MW Power from the ABREL Project. The Execution Achieved High System Reliability, Operational Safety, and Full Regulatory Compliance, Supporting Long-Term Performance and Seamless Grid Integration of the Renewable Energy Asset.
